Eye On The Hartford Courant was started as a result of The Hartford Courant's skewed coverage of news in the Middle East, particularly regarding the Arab-Israeli conflict.

PRIMER-Connecticut has repeatedly pointed out consistent bias and blatant errors to the editorial staff of The Courant, which at best has occasionally been embarrassed into temporarily exhibiting less bias. It refuses to issue corrections to factual errors, generally denying their existence even when faced with incontestable evidence.

With Eye On The Hartford Courant, PRIMER hopes to create a public record of the bias in The Hartford Courant and encourage The Courant to present news and editorial coverage of the Arab-Israeli conflict in a responsible manner.
